High conversions with effective sales funnels

Most internet marketers just sell products. This is a big mistake – what you actually need is to create an effective sales funnel… A funnel that sells for you on autopilot. A funnel that works away whilst you concentrate on what’s really important – living your life.
In my opinion the best way to do it is to gradually upsell people to more and more expensive products. As your relationship with your subscribers builds they will become more open and responsive to your offers. Here is how it works:

1. The first step is to get people onto your mailing list – it’s the basis of the whole system. You need to create or source a good quality product that people in your niche will really want, and then you need to give it away for free in return for an opt-in. Create a good squeeze page which will entice people to subscribe.

2. As soon as they have opted in it’s time to present them with an offer (your upsell or one time offer). Ideally this should be related to your freebie and shouldn’t be too expensive.

3. Put the people who buy your upsell onto a buyers list (this is easy to do in Aweber) and put those who don’t onto another ‘non-buyers’ list.

4. Next you need to create your follow-up autoresponder sequence. The messages in each list will be different depending on whether they bought or not. The aim of your non-buyers list should be to get people to buy a low priced product. Remind them of your upsell and introduce other products to them.

5. Once they have bought something the hard work is mostly done. Statistically people are far more likely to buy something from someone they have bought from in the past. Gradually introduce people to higher priced items. Introduce them to continuity programs, DVD training courses, mentoring programs, etc. Once they have bought something of a particular value they have ‘broken through the barrier’ and you can offer these people more higher ticket items.

What you have to remember is that not everyone on your list wants to spend the same amounts of money. Some will only be interested in freebies or low priced items, but there will always be people who want to spend more money. If you don’t give these people the opportunity to do so then you are REALLY missing out!
