Your Online Business and the Offline Market

August 23rd, 2009

Internet Marketers have a lot of great ways to make money. But up until a year or so ago Internet Marketers only made money online. Then Internet Marketers started to realize that they could make a lot of money by taking on clients in the so-called real world. You can make a lot of money this way too. It’s actually really easy to take your online business into the real world.

There are many very useful and profitable skills that you have from being an Internet Marketer. You can take these skills to businesses in your area and make a lot of money from them. These skills include building web sites, marketing online, setting up and maintaining social networking sites, writing blogs, and search engine optimization (SEO).

Most likely you have some skill that you can offer. In fact, you’d probably be seen as an expert by local businesses. If you’re very knowledgeable about something that can help local businesses be more successful then you should definitely offer that service. Even if you aren’t an expert you can always outsource the service to other people online. Then you can charge more and keep the extra money for yourself.

All it really takes is walking into a local business and telling them what you can do for them. Even today there are still a lot of businesses that don’t have sites online. There are even more businesses that know nothing about search engine optimization, blogs, social networking sites, and everything else. Most businesses know very little about the Internet as a whole. So, you can offer them any number of services and show them how it will actually make them more money in the long run.

Of course the best way for you to take your online business into the real world is to start with a plan. Target a few businesses at first that can most benefit from what you can offer. Then make a script for what to say. Finally, plan when and how you will approach each business. If you are really uncomfortable you can always hire a salesperson to go to the businesses for you. Obviously you would have to pay them and that will cut into your overall profits. However, it might help you get more business too.

That’s how easy it is to take your online business into the real world. You just need to figure out what local businesses need and then offer it to them. If you can provide the service then that’s great but if you can’t then just outsource the work. Also, make sure you always have a plan that maps out exactly what you need to do and say. You can and will make a lot of money with real world customers.

Make more money by putting the Customer First

August 20th, 2009

By honoring the customer and putting your clients on priority service you will make more money – offline or online. When you go into business for yourself you obviously need to get customers. You need people to pay you money otherwise you won’t make any money and your business will fail. This is true with Internet Marketing too. And this is why with Internet Marketing you always put the customer first.

Too often business people get so caught up with their everyday tasks that they forget about the customer. This is obviously a huge mistake. You always need to put the customer first so that the customer comes back to you again and always speaks highly of you to others.

You’ve probably heard the old saying, “The customer is always right.” This is something that you should definitely adopt. There’s a great story that goes along with this that’s about an old lady returning tires to a store. After complaining to the clerk about it and getting no where, she asked to speak with the manager. The lady was starting to get very upset so the manager asked her how much she paid for the tires and returned her money to her. The woman left happy. Unfortunately the manager had no idea what he’d do with the tires since his store didn’t even sell tires.

Why did the manager take the tires back? Because the few hundred dollars he gave away saved him lost customers in the store and also gave him great publicity to all the customers who heard this story.

With Internet Marketing you should always put the customer first. The customer is all that stands between you and success with your Internet Marketing story. So treat your customer like gold and you will experience great success because of it.
